Beauty Lasts Forever (And Does Not Need Enhancing)

At first glance, one may think this post is about one's inner beauty and the evils of plastic surgery. Well, whoever actually thinks that is actually, well, WRONG.

In about movies and hot guys (and occasional teenage "wisdom" and philosophy), the post is most likely gonna be about the cinema and the evils of boredom. This particular post is actually about one, or rather, three movies. That's right: The Lord of the Rings Trilogy.

I was chatting with my older sister Silver and I told her about my awesome plan for cinematic awesomeness. She told me about how difficult it'd actually be to move a nice new tv across the ocean. At first, I was disheartened. My dream was crushed. But then I realized she was right. And I was saddened even more. But you know what?

This trilogy is one of the best trilogies of all time. I have a tv, and a ps2 for a DVD player. I also have a laptop to watch it on. Why would I need a tv now at this moment? This trilogy would be good no matter what. So I decided I'm only buying the trilogy for now.

In other news, first day of school tomorrow! Since I need to save up too much money for now, cookies and milk for breakfast tomorrow! That's one thing I miss about school (looking on the bright side here!).

For now, good night. I'm tired and I should be asleep by now.

I'll be thinking about LOTR and Red Dead Redemption (that is for another time to discuss).

The only way...

The only way to enjoy the Extended Version of the Lord of the Rings Trilogy (okay maybe not the only way) is to watch it at the movie theater. But obviously, the trilogy has been out of the theater for a long time.

So instead of only buying the Extended Trilogy (around $55.00 by the way), I decided to make my own little theater for myself. I'm going to get a new tv (with a built-in dvd player hopefully), speakers, the whole shebang! I estimate it will cost me around $300. Ouch...

I have been thinking about this movie (trilogy), and I realized, if I had to pick a favorite movie/trilogy, it'd be this one.

Speakers like this, maybe...

A tv like this, except hopefully cheaper...

Well, time to work extra days! Or maybe get cheaper deals on Black Friday. But still, I'm gonna need more money!

In other news, Garg actually set up my ancient 10-year old computer (a computer I dubbed Midnight Erosion)! Yeah. I don't know where some of the games went... :(

Maybe I shouldn't write off a classic right away...

...I should give everything a chance right?

Well I didn't think that for several things, one of them being Star Trek with the guy from Princess Diaries 2.

Oh yeah. Cause he can't act. Star Trek (2009) was SO horrible...

That's my main example for why I shouldn't dismiss things so quickly. But there was still one thing...

It's something I read in English class, a little Shakespearean gem called "The Tempest."

Oh yeah, when I first read this I did NOT like it. Even after watching parts of the cheesy movies I didn't like it. I thought Ariel was stupid (waaay too much like Sparkles the Vampire), Miranda was being too quick ("Hey let's get married after 5 hours of knowing each other!"), how it was taught to us made it seem too pretentious... yeah. They'll never make that into a good movie. Never!

Yeah. That's what I thought.

...

Well... until I saw this:

Oh my fucking jeebus. Holy shit. Does this look totally awesome or what? I mean, I admit, I've been following this movie for a little bit... but DAMN! I didn't know it could show this much potential! Helen Mirren as Prospera (usually Prospero) makes it better... and Ariel (the guy on the top of the poster)... he just looks so AWESOME!!!! I definitely want to see this movie. Hopefully it doesn't let me down...

Here's another picture:

Awesome.

So yeah. I shouldn't be dismissing things so quickly... Can't wait to see this!

UPDATE

Okay I didn't hate The Tempest that much, just in English class. It's just didn't think it could be or at least look like it had the potential to be awesome.
