I had a really weird dream. It was awesome. Also, here's a fairytale.

Okay, first off, my dream.

Before this dream, I had another weird dream a few days ago, and I remembered it the whole day, but I didn't write it down or anything, so I forgot it.

But this is about the weird dream I had tonight, and as a (sort of) bonus, I'll talk about another dream (or more) I had a few weeks ago. But first things first.

Okay, so of course I was thinking about Tron. I was also kind of thinking about Warrior's Way (which I unfortunately heard was disappointing). I guess my subconscious merged the two thoughts together. There were other aspects of the dream, like my fear of not doing my homework on time (in a gym, which has been used in other dreams but as different rooms - more on that later). Okay so anyway, the dream started (?) with me (as me) talking about the different Tron things coming out. There was this Tron video game (which I constantly wished was a movie) called Symbol Warrior: (I don't remember the rest). My mind went into the video game I guess. It's like Tron, except with samurai swords and dragons (that looked strangely computerized) and the world had more slides or something. It was beautiful. Then the dream became more of a movie. It was kind of set in the video game, but my mind got sidetracked. It followed this girl and this warrior guy (who looked strangely like the warrior guy from Warrior's Way). She was about 13 or 14 with blonde hair and I'm not sure, but her name might have been Lexy (yeah, I will always spell Lexy with a y). They broke out of some prison or something to do with some company. The warrior I think was protecting this girl. They were running away from something. Then (as usual in my dreams) I became that girl (good thing her name was Lexy). I was running away and the warrior guy told us to split up. I kept thinking what if it's more dangerous like that? But I heard something like the people were on the other side where he went so I went to this chick's grandma's house. I could go into detail about that, but after that I woke up (at 11:19!!!). There was another side line about this guy tasked to blow up some base in Cuba and another in Rio de Janeiro, but I barely remember. There was probably so much to the dream, but I forgot. I just realized how much my dream reminds me of the show Nikita.

I said that the gym was used as another room in another dream. I realized that several places in several dreams (I know this to be true) are reused, like several set pieces are reused (especially for tv shows).

There were two more dreams I had over the past few weeks.

One was really strange, like in some "dreamscape"*. It kinda reminded me of MirrorMask (oh, and any "dreamscape" I have is usually a desert). There were places in this desert that could appear out of thin air (they were being hidden by some sort of mist). Blue cylinder apartment buildings occupied by either humans or creatures (I think). Basically, each room was a cylinder laid on its side, and it was stacked near, below, or on top other cylinders. They looked like either blue glass or gargantuan hollowed out blue raspberry jolly ranchers. It was like some huge bee hive, except it was blue. There were other buildings too, but I can't remember most of them. I've forgotten most of the dream, but there were two aspects that stuck out the most. One, was that there were these "freedom fighters" or "terrorists" (depends whose side you were on) that were fighting for something, but I can't remember. All I know is I chose their side, but I kinda felt guilty, thinking "What would Dad think about this?". That was partially why I was on the run. So here's the next aspect I remember. I ran into another building that reminded me, oddly, of the Sherlock Holmes museum (I've been there) in London. But each building (or most) led to a different world (pre-established world). This one had doors that led to the world of Alice in Wonderland. I don't remember the other parts (what a shame), but I remember rabbits and other stuff.

I could go into more dreams I had, but that is for another time.

*Dreamscape: What I define as some ongoing landscape that has no end (kind of like in Tron that ground in their world that goes on forever) in a dream. All you see is horizon. There's usually some stray buildings or whatnot and it's usually never in full daylight (for me, anyway). My usual dreamscape is a desert with cloudy or dark-ish sky at or around sunset. I think it was inspired by (or I finally realized my dreamscape while looking at) Edgar Ende paintings. Also, some Salvador Dali paintings would count too.

I just wish I could come up with as creative and original ideas, places, and stories for my fanfic while I'm awake as much as when I'm asleep.

Now, on to my next fairytale:

Red Riding Hood!

Little Red Riding Hood

From http://unrealitymag.com/index.php/2010/03/10/little-red-riding-hood-concept-art/

Wolves and wind became your creed
As an attack, it was strange indeed
And whilst you could have been murdered
Something almost beautiful stopped it further

Now an outcast, they will hunt you
But as an outcast, you cared not
Even if friends became enemies to you
You want to find the one who for you fought

You still have a mission so clear
That is not for me to decide
This mission to your heart has always been near
No one can tell you to hide

This is about an OC (original character) named Eleanor "Nelly" Linderman. She's mostly from Heroes (her father is Daniel Linderman), Indiana Jones (her brother-in-law is a descendant of Indiana Jones), and Iron Man (her former occupation). Come to think of it, I might throw the tv show Nikita into my world as well. Seems rather interesting... This character was lately inspired by The Wolfman (2010, even if it was mediocre). So yeah.

I'm gonna go play COD:BO right now, so bye! :)

Christmas and Beauty

Christmas is today. Yay. I had fun; the day isn't over, so yeah. I'm about to play Call of Duty Black Ops (yesterday was a Christmas miracle - we finally were able to get rid of time limit in COD:BO Multiplayer. WOO!). I got pajamas (very cute frosty pink ones) from my mom Blondie, as well as chocolate (yum). I got an Eclipse poster (with the Cullen family - not too shabby) and cute socks from my brother Garg, and a $15 iTunes gift card from Tally. Some gifts are delayed from coming because of the oh-so-annoying snow storms in London (storms which never touched where I live - ARGH). So, if I didn't talk about a present, chances are I haven't received it yet. Two other things I got for Christmas (a third I got also for my b-day - Netflix!): Money and an Xbox Live Account. WHOO! Blondie also made French toast for all of us (I put Raspberry Jam on it, for we lacked syrup). So I must thank everyone for being so kind on Christmas! Hopefully no one is having a crappy one.

And now for the next fairytale poem.

Ms. Beauty.

Beauty

From http://www.logoi.com/pastimages/beauty_and_the_beast.html

Curses cover the eyes
And fill the worlds with lies
All is not what it appears
And checkered hearts fill your fear

Of a pure royal blood you are
‘Tis not tainted, but hidden
Strange hands hold the cards
Which could lead to the truth being risen

Death saves you from an uncertain fate
But He can’t always protect you
Save those who are in your previous state
And Death’s curse can be broken through

This is about an OC (original character) part time dancer/part time model named Amélie Dupont. Amélie's mainly from The Da Vinci Code, Harry Potter, Indiana Jones (kind of) and Death Proof. Da Vinci code, because of some certain relatives, Harry Potter because of some certain beast (NOT Sirius Black - an OC from Harry Potter), and Death Proof because of some certain friends. I don't feel like explaining the Indiana Jones aspect of it. Her adoptive family's kind of evil, and they want to control almost every aspect of her life. They are a part of some secret society (I'm still doing secret societies even if I watched the "Fantastic Easter Special" episode from South Park - LOL). Her family allows them to manipulate her and make her do what they want. She was touring the United States with a dance troupe when she made a break for it. She ran into some sort of beast (a hell hound, if you will), and that beast scared her pursuers. I got my inspiration for this character mostly from the character River from Firefly* and the Ballerina from Angel (both Joss Whedon characters portrayed by Summer Glau, oddly enough). Also, I've been reading conspiracy theory articles that give good ideas for stories (like celebrities that are manipulated by the elite). Do I believe the articles? Partially, but I don't know what to believe. But that's not important. Just citing inspirations for this character.

So after that lengthy description of a strange character of many stories, I bid adieu for now as I work on the eighth chapter for Roses and Poetry, as well as various chapters for other stories as I await the Call of Duty Black Ops marathon to be had.

Merry Christmas!

*For that, in the poem, I was originally going to say "strange blue hands ("two by two, hands of blue..."), but that might be bordering on plagiarism.

PS: Another Christmas miracle, this time at work, I want to speak about. I was packing groceries in a car for a customer. She was holding several bags and I was too. She wondered if she was holding everything, then she said she probably was, so I let go. But she wasn't holding the eggs. They were dropped on the ground. It sounded pretty bad. I picked them up and we both checked the eggs. Not one was broken. The customer exclaimed, "It's a Christmas miracle!" I was happy I didn't have to get a replacement. So yeah. Probably one of the first work stories shared on my blog.

The Twins, Dear Beautiful Annie, and Procrastination

Note: This was actually posted on the 22nd, not the 23rd, of December.

So here are the next fairytales, Snow White and Rose Red:

Snow White

From http://www.mykeamend.com/new/products-page/all-products/snow-white-8x10-metallic-print/

In the magical stories of old
‘Tis your stepmother full of spite
In your life, nice is she and extremely bold
‘Tis your aunt you may have to fight

Your love truly is a prince
But not of this world his dominion is
He does not want to be a prince
Yet he means to make you his

Half human only is he
He and dear Rose you must save
Your family might set you all free
Or your lives they may take

This is talking about a character not my own, a young witch named Artemis Dubaer, or better known as Alexandra Fielding. She is from T*Witches (and I'm going by what I know of the books - NOT by the DCOM's). In this prophecy, her longtime boyfriend (from the books) Cade Wilson is actually a sort of prince. A prince of what, I shall not tell. The crazy aunt is an OC. I combined the two Snow Whites of the stories (as Fables did). "Rose" is referring to the next prophecy, Rose Red.

Rose Red

From http://media.photobucket.com/image/rose%20red%20fairy%20tale/taeryunn/RoseRed.jpg

You are enemies both not knowing
You fight with your faces unmasked
Masked you find your love more showing
But you face a difficult task

You must let go of your enemy
And black hearts are of a danger more
His black heart is not much of a worry
But forget not this heart anymore

Insanity might not run through your family
But secrets by them are always hidden
In plain sight, these secrets you will see
But of them, do not be ridden

This prophecy is about Artemis's twin, Apolla Dubaer, or Camryn Barnes. She is also from T*Witches.

Okay, so yeah. Obviously I haven't been on in almost a month. This is because I was being lazy.

And here is a video shown to me by Tally, a familiar song (a favorite of mine) done in an interesting way by one of the world's most talented singers. Basically, here's "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen" by Annie Lennox.

And that's all for now.

A Moment of Reflection

Okay, this "reflection" idea was kinda taken from my mom, from her post on Thanksgiving. Kinda.

You see, I was watching Stargate, the original movie. I didn't finish it (I will tomorrow morning). I realized something strange.

There are two main characters of the movie. One is the very blue eyed Kurt Russell and the other is a very geeky, slightly annoying, shaggy haired James Spader.

I realized several things about these actors and their characters, O'Neil and Jackson.

One: Kurt Russell had extremely blue eyes. This comes from my mouth just hours after I talk about the creepiness of Stuntman Mike.

Two: James Spader is also in a Robert Rodriguez movie, as Kurt Russell is (Grindhouse, I believe). James, however, is in Shorts, as the main villain, who actually is somewhat cynical.

Three: I find James Spader in Stargate (NOT IN SHORTS) somewhat... how do I put this without sounding strange? ... attractive. I most likely talking about his character. Maybe it's because I'm super tired right now and might regret saying this, but I found him somewhat attractive. Okay, so maybe his character is so stereotypical nerd, with the allergies and the glasses and the total smartassness and he's somewhat annoying. But his character is totally in to Ancient Egyptian culture, and I liked his shaggy hair (while a few hours ago, the whole family was bashing Tom Brady's shaggy hair while I liked it). His glasses put a nice touch. I don't know, maybe I'm super crazy, and I'm usually oblivious to total annoyance (I didn't mind Wesley from Star Trek Next Gen OR Jar Jar Binks), so maybe my view is biased. Is there something wrong with me? Why am I finding the one who is made to be unattractive attractive? Maybe there's nothing wrong with me. I've always been into nerds AND super hot guys. But if I ever find a hot nerd with a totally awesome personality, he's a keeper.

And while I'm on the subject of whom I find attractive, let's get something clear. I'm mostly heterosexual. Mostly. When I say that, it means I'm looking for a man. I'm mostly attracted to men. But I'm not against falling in love with a chick. If I do so, I do so. Like, I totally would date Christina Hendricks. I totally have a crush on her, as much as I have a crush on some guy celebrities. So, I'm looking for a man, but I'm not closing my mind, you know?

So yeah. Reflections on (a little past) Turkey Day. Good night.

Turkey Day, The Fairy, The Ocean Darling, and A Psychotic Stuntman

First of all, I'd like to say Happy Turkey Day. It's awesome and stuff. I want to say Happy Thanksgiving to all of my family, friends, and others who I may hold dear. Tonight was full of food and will be full of movies (or one, to be exact). I played Rock Band and watched a little of football and got to relax. So yeah. Hopefully, you had as nice of a time as I had.

I'd also like to say that I purposefully skipped Tuesday's post so I could bring a double post for Thanksgiving, but I'm not that clever to think of something on purpose.

Okay so, since it is a double post, that means two fairytales instead of one will be posted here.

The first, that of Tinkerbell:

Tinkerbell:

From http://www2.ambientdesign.com/gallery/showimage.php?i=8947

As for many, oddity will change your course
The oddity of one chance encounter
Angels and Demons shall come with full force
Emerald envy follows soon after

The Scribe of God will come to your rescue
And the Son of the Devil shall attempt to end
Your death may or may not ensue
But you will know if it has happened

For they are not after you
They are after a holy child
Protect her with all the strength in you
Or for a good future ‘tis may be a while

This one is about an OC named Delilah Greene. She is mostly Heroes (DEFINITELY - she's the cousin of a real character on her dad's side), Iron Man (she's the niece of a certain billionaire on her mom's side), The Airhead Trilogy by Meg Cabot (she's the niece of a guy named Robert Stark; I took this idea from my sister, Tally), and Angels and Demons Movieverse (do not ask - this is probably the main one). She is a cheerleader who happens to be smarter than everyone - including herself - gives credit for. She is a total bitch until someone tries to murder her. Who? You'll totally have to find out. Out of all the stories of the fairytales, this is the one I have most developed.

Here is the next fairytale:

Ariel

From http://www.prlog.org/10409723-the-little-mermaid-selling-exhibition-of-original-illustrations-by-christian-birmingham.html

Of two worlds you come from
One is of a white palace, a ruling elite
The other is a pearly kingdom in the sea
Submerged, not touching the world above

And a Painter in which you fall in love
Jovian worlds and the reality he painted of
Flames and tears were what his future showed
And ‘tis so awful what his fate hath become

But hope comes in Resurrection
And your tears are no more
Escape is not a righteous option
You both must face the world

This speaks of a 24-yr-old OC named Francesca "Nessie" Cappola. She's mostly from Heroes, National Treasure 2 (her dad's the president), and Percy Jackson and the Olympians (her mom's Amphitrite). She has a somewhat crazy brother named Theodore (who happens to be the Mad Hatter of a certain someone else's story) and several snobby half siblings. Oddly enough, she and her brother were raised by their mother, who took a few years off of a godly existence because these were the first children she had had in many years, and she didn't want them to grow up in a bad environment (Poseidon was not too happy...). But she went back to her palace in the sea after they grew up and she visits them periodically. What a nice immortal mother!

And you're wondering about the Psychotic Stuntman? Well, let me tell you about a little movie called Death Proof...

Beware: Here Be Some (Maybe)Spoilers

Shot in a grainy 70's style, this Tarantino-directed flick is a type of movie I don't normally see. The film follows two groups of good-looking young women in two different states, both groups the targets of a crazy stuntman known as Stuntman Mike, portrayed by Kurt Russell (I will NEVER look at him the same way again). It features a lot of blood, f-bombs, some drugs, a lap dance (and yes, it's involving Kurt Russell), an eighteen minute (I didn't count myself) car chase, a lot of feet (Stuntman Mike himself had a foot fetish) and just some serious badassness (and just some plain creepy-ness). I think the first half of the movie just showcases Stuntman Mike's insane ways, as well as the ignorance of young women and people (especially drunk) in general. However, the second half shows just how much even insane people can get themselves fucked over (yeah you're crying now Stuntman Mike!). Overall, I liked the movie. I think if the first half was too slow, it's worth waiting for the duel. Maybe it was a little slow 'cause I watched the extended edition...

Anywho, that's my Turkey Day blog post. Imma go take a shower and watch me another *shudder* Kurt Russell movie (just kidding dude - I know you're awesome!). Good night!

The Girl With The Long Hair (and NINJAS?!)

Okay so time for another fairytale! Can you guess which one this is? Well, if you've read the title, then you already know who this is: Rapunzel!

Rapunzel

Picture from artistsuk.co.uk

The tales told of your long hair
Of a prince who asked to climb up
In your distressful story, however,
‘Twill be a ninja to help you up

It was a grudge from so long ago
In the middle of an undead desert
That your troubles began to show
But the ninja’s past will as well hurt

You must join together with equal force
To save those you both love
You both must take the same course
For they will come from above

This little poem is about an OC named Marigold Marston (yeah descendant of that Marston). She's mostly from RDR (with Undead Nightmare continuity) and F&F (kinda). She also has a little of PJ&TO storyline. Yep. Rapunzel runs in with ninjas. This was kind of inspired by a trailer of a movie with a cheesy title: The Warrior's Way. Here it is:

Yeah I know. Cowboys and Ninjas fighting to the death. Looks totally f**kin awesome!

Speaking of Cowboys fighting people/beings not known around those parts of country...

This is the first official Cowboys and Aliens trailer. Am I the only one who can't wait to see this? Seriously. What the hey?

Fairytale #3 and A Movie You Should Watch (But Totally Don't Have To)

So this fairytale prophecy's about Anastasia (I LOVED that movie as a kid - it was better then though...):

Anastasia

Wondering if you could stand
You took the past with one hand
And wondering if you could lie
You took all the time to fly

And the past comes back to haunt and love you
In the form of cursed family and a heroic man
Royal blood is oft a curse of family and hand
And that is where the trouble brews

You fight so valiantly
So wonderful you can protect
But tests of loyalty are hard to detect
And curses come back so diligently

I wrote this today. This one alludes to not an OC, but Natalia Romanova of Iron Man fame (Black Widow anyone?). I'm not sure where this one is going, but I like it. In fact, because of this one, I'm probably gonna rewrite at least two of them since they're not...real, they feel fake. Well, at least one of them does. They could be better.

Aaaaaand moving on.

Okay so today I watched Charlie Bartlett, a movie with two of my favorite actors in it (Anton Yelchin and Robert Downey Jr). So here is what I think.

Charlie Bartlett (WARNING! HERE BE SPOILERS!)

Okay so basically this movie is about a kid named Charlie (Anton Yelchin) who is the spawn of a somewhat crazy rich mother. He has been kicked out a lot of private schools, so he goes to a public school for a change. At first, he's bullied. But then, he becomes a somewhat psychiatrist as well as provider of prescription drugs and suddenly becomes extremely popular. All the while he falls for a girl (Kat Dennings) who happens to be the daughter of a somewhat alcoholic principal (ROBERT DOWNEY JR, BIZNITCHES!!!!).

I loved it. I love how they balance comedy and drama. It feels almost real, and I say almost, because high school is almost never fully portrayed accurately in Hollywood. But many of the situations felt real, and the acting didn't feel forced. It came naturally. Anton Yelchin is a natural, as well as RDJ. It's great to see the chemistry between these two. Like in this one scene: (MAJOR SPOILER) Charlie goes to the principal's house (this is near the end of the movie) to ask the now former Principal Gardner to see if he wanted to see his daughter in a play, and Charlie finds the front door open and he finds Susan's (that's the chick's name) dad with alcohol in one hand and he simply stated, "What is it this time Charles?" or something along the lines of that. I don't want to give the rest away, but it involves RDJ, a pool, Anton Yelchin, a bottle of scotch, and... a revolver.(END MAJOR SPOILER) Yeah. AWESOME CHEMISTRY.

I know I can't explain it that well, so you'd have to see the awesomeness that is this movie to know for yourself.

On the side note: I just watched SATC2 - Okay, a little unbelievable, not nearly as bad as the reviewers were making it out to be (for a chick flick).

I have to go to bed before I'm caught up so, good night!

Cyberspace, Sleeping Beauty, and Birthmas

First off, I know I forgot to post a fairytale "prophecy" yesterday (I promised to on Tuesday; read the last post if you're confused), so here it is:

Sleeping Beauty

You fell into a dark sleep
Your world was too much to take
The pain of the butterflies, too much to keep
Away from them, you then became awake

In your dream you find truth
This dream is your true making
But you must fully wake from your half-truth
Bring the two truths together in your waking

When you fully wake, you will find power
And an ally you will find of time and dreaming
Help will come from both in truth’s darkest hour
Save those from the Shadow ever scheming

This is about an OC named Alicia Kowalski, mostly from Heroes and Superman Returns.

Aaaaaaand moving on.

So, I actually got an AWESOME birthmas present (both for my b-day and Christmas): a Netflix account! My mom is the one who got one for me! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!! My first movie got sent out: Charlie Bartlett. Tally's movie that got sent out is Friday Night Lights. OMFG IT HAS GARRETT HEDLUND!!!!!

Which brings me to my next subject...

Tron Muthaf**kin Legacy.

This movie looks so awesome, I can't describe it (Tally is extremely excited for this movie as well). We're probably going to see it for our birthday - in IMAX 3D. Oh yeah! I would love to see Garrett Hedlund's face that close... But of course that's not the only thing! Here is the official final trailer:

Here is a music video done by Daft Punk (they did the music for the movie!):

OMG I CAN'T WAIT!!!!

Forgive me for my excessive Caps-lock-ing... I just can't help it!

And finally, I've been listening to the new Linkin Park cd (A Thousand Suns) and most of it is made of win and weird! Part of it sounds like strange ballad-y almost generic but totally awesome rock. But a lot of it sounds robotic, and has kind of a weird rhythm and it is almost steam punk and I would totally use it for Tron Legacy. The only thing I don't like about this CD is the last track.

Fairytales and Recommendations

Okay so yeah, as some people know, I write fanfic. And I usually get carried away with back stories and characters rather than main plot. Well, these do have a lot to do with plot, but as usual, instead of writing the story, I write little "prophecies." Have no idea what I am talking about? Well you're about to.

Basically, in my fanfic, I linked many different fairytales with different characters within my huge crossover universe. Most of them are OC's. They each receive "Fairytale Cards" telling some sort of "prophecy", correlating with their lives. And every Tuesday and Friday, I will publish one of these "prophecies" until all eighteen of them are run through. So... here's one of them:

Alice

Your elder of only a few older than thou
Shall teach the true art of your mother
By the bow they all are bound
To the cards, bound is your elder’s brother

The answers are hidden in plain sight
In Disturbia some may be
In Wonderland they hold light
Look to this place and of seven and twenty

Follow the white rabbit playing a strange game
Your Mad Hatter is in the prison full of lies
It is you both that your captors try to tame
Do not follow them or the butterflies

This tells of an OC named Veronika Dodson. She's mostly in the Percy Jackson and the Olympians universe and a little bit of Heroes.
So tell me what you think!

And moving on.

I have been wanting to see obscure, underrated movies. Two, actually. It's furthers my argument on why I should get Netflix.

Here are the trailers:

Charlie Bartlett:

This movie looks hilarious! Two of my favorite actors with witty banter and so full of humor - perfect! And yes, that's RDJ as a principal.

Ordinary People:

Yes I'm aware that this is depressing and that it was released all the way back in (le gasp!) 1980. But this looks like a movie I really need to see, much like Girl Interrupted.

And so that is all... for now.

This song was on my mind...

Kingdom of Rust by Doves. I LOVE this song; something about is so sad and so beautiful... very nostalgic in a strange way. As some may have heard, I first heard this while watching Zombieland (it IS in the movie). Well, the URL for the page containing the video is there, if you wanna watch it, since I couldn't find any official video with the embedding. I do this because the official video adds to the feeling of the song, and furthers the proof that this is a total road trip song for when you're looking out the window, with everything flying by. Just watch it, and you might know what I mean, you might not.

Talent is Often Overshadowed By Events So Horrible and Words So Disgusting

First off, WOW. I didn't know a girl about my age could sing like that, nevertheless a girl from Gossip Girl and of a rock band. Yes, this girl's name is Taylor Momsen (Cindy Lou Who! Also, the rest of the band is awesome from what I've heard as well).

And now for a song from this band, The Pretty Reckless. This song's seriously emo, but TOTALLY awesome. It's called "Make Me Wanna Die" from the Kick Ass Movie soundtrack (I KNOW!!!). Just watch this weird video:

Yeah, I know, kind of risqué, but who cares?

Now I know many opinions of this girl are awful. But what's awful is no one gives the music attention, just her "tasteless" words. Now I don't agree with everything she's said or says, but seriously. I've heard way worse words. And so what if she wears too much eyeshadow or eyeliner, or if she dresses "like a hooker"? She's only 17! Calm the fuck down! Seriously! She's outspoken. She dresses differently. She actually is edgy, unlike Miley Cyrus, who just tries too hard. So, people (and by people, I mostly mean E!Network*), get over it.

Another poor soul who is victim to the venom of words is poor Lindsay Lohan. She is an amazing actress. She's extremely talented. And she's kind of a drunkard. Yeah, she's going to rehab to the fifth time, but that's mostly accredited to her parents and to the people who won't leave her alone. I know she has to take responsibility for her actions, but no one will give her the room to actually get better. It's so annoying. Do I think she'll survive. If she's a strong soul, yeah. She has a lot of friends, contrary to popular belief, that actually care for her. She'll probably pull a Britney Spears on us while Hollywood and tabloids pick their next victim.

However, in light of tomorrow (I shall wear purple), I have to shed light another matter, a rather similar matter.

Some of us are aware of a recent surge of suicides due to bullying. A rather recent victim happened a young man named Tyler Clementi.

Now I read a special article on bullying from People Magazine in light of these recent events. Comments were made by several people who knew him. They said he was a shy guy, but whenever he played the violin, he came alive. Something just bothered me about that. Why did he have to commit suicide? He could've turned to his violin for inspiration instead of listening to words and actions of hate. And it makes me think... What would've happened if he hadn't committed suicide? If he brushed it off? If they never hurt him? I don't know why, but it's like I feel his pain or something and it hurts me that he turned to such a drastic measure. I just hope his pain has ended, I hope he's in a happier place, and I hope he knows now more people will be saved from such measures because of the awareness his situation brought to it. I hope he knows, that even if I never knew him, and I'm taking a cue from V for Vendetta, that I love him, that people love him and will remember.

So, I guess in conclusion, talent is overshadowed by events so horrible. For instance, so many great talents have succumbed to death in sadness and insomnia, and maybe a little bit of drugs for some (Tyler Clementi, and more famous ones, such as Marilyn Monroe, River Phoenix, Heath Ledger, Brittany Murphy, and many, many others...). Others are subject to words so awful, like Taylor Momsen, Lindsay Lohan, and the bullied victims mentioned in the article (many of which overcome those words of hate, I am happy to report). Basically, death is rampant in another blog post of mine... I hope this doesn't pass through people's ears, only to be forgotten. I hope I don't forget.

Well, I'll wear purple tomorrow. In Honor of the suicide victims.

I don't think I can do it.

Or maybe I can...

I might have to.

I'm gonna have to take Colin Firth seriously if I am to take The King's Speech seriously. It's just...

He was so funny in St. Trinian's! Almost making out with Rupert Everett was hysterical...

Y'all should see the movie. Very immature, very squeamish, very random, doesn't take itself seriously and I LOVE IT.

Yeah, judge for yourself. :)

I can't believe I forgot to mention...

...on this blog, what a special, momentous day yesterday was.

Just not for me.

I mean, I already mentioned it to him several times, but let me broadcast it to the world!

HAPPY 14th BIRTHDAY GARG, HE WHO IS SO TALL THAT HE IS EVEN TALLER THAN DAD (Not kidding with that one) !!!!!!!

I gave him 25 bucks. Needless to say, he was ecstatic. Remember, when in doubt on a great gift to give, give money, the gift that keeps on giving (kind of)!

In other news, I joined wikia.com. To be more specific, I joined for Twilight Saga Wiki. All because of the novella I previously mentioned (READ MY PREVIOUS POST!) .

My name on there is Drina Queenie, jsyk.

Beautiful Redemption and Words I Wish to Be Worthy (Songs That Should Be Heard As Well)

Beautiful redemption Ms. Stephenie Meyer has earned.

Sort of.

Whatever I didn't like in Breaking Dawn surely can be made up for (for the most part) from The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner.

HERE BE SPOILERS (Sort of)

What a tragedy, that Stephenie Meyer's best book (of what I've read) ends in tragedy. That her most interesting characters must perish. Why, Stephenie Meyer, why?

The story was much more engaging than her previous novels. I found myself wondering what happened next even though I already knew what happened next. I was rooting for the characters, feeling for them, for once.

The premise was enticing, the potential, so much. Most of it was fulfilled. Oh, if Ms. Meyer only addressed the loose ends in another book... But then again, what would our imaginations be for anyways?

I know I've given Stephenie Meyer flack so much before. But I must say, she does know at least a little about writing. It's unfortunate that her most interesting characters are the supporting characters. But then again, it's not. It gives room for the mind to wander and wonder.

The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner was more realistic, more dark, more sorrowful. It just felt so real, and it almost allowed me to forgive Stephenie Meyer for the sparkling. After all, Bree wouldn't stop calling the vampires "disco ball vampires". Seriously. But the movies made everything worse... The books are so much better.

In essence, Stephenie Meyer, I may not be your biggest fan, but I will be more weary before I criticize you. I underestimated you. Congratulations.

----------------------------------

In other "news", I'm really starting to get serious about writing. My fanfic, that is. Also, I'm starting to gain new perspective. I'm starting to figure out what I want. It's weird... I guess I might be maturing?

Anyway, back to the fanfic. This is from a rough draft of a new one I'm working on. I hope this one is much better than Roses and Poetry (I will give that beautiful redemption - I have to). The working title is "Angels and Maniacs in Tranquility":

HERE BE SPOILERS FOR SEVERAL TV SHOWS/BOOKS (Airhead Trilogy, Heroes, etc.)
----------
"I just sat there. Seriously. That's all I did. I didn't cry upon hearing the news. I just sat, and stared. Most people would've cried, but I've felt enough to cease feeling anything truly deep. The silence wasn't awkward, it was almost... welcoming.

"Oh my God! I can't believe it! This is SO not fair!" My cousin, Delilah Greene, yelled while storming in through the front door.

The normal smile (so fake) was gone, as a more familiar pout showed on Delilah's face. My sister's honey blonde, pixie-cut hair, normally in place, was now extremely messy. Her fair heart-shaped face was red with frustration. It looks like she didn't get her way again.

"Don't use God's name in vein, Delilah," I pointed out. I have been of the more theological viewpoint ever since my mother told me the truth about my father, and ever since she died. Now it seemed I would become even more so upon hearing the current state of my father's... death.

If anyone could hear my thoughts right now, they would probably wonder why I'm thinking rather eloquently. It's because my life was shaken by certain life changing events.

Delilah rolled her blue eyes, now contrasted by the red in them, retorting, "Like you would do any different. I mean, I can't believe Mom's doing this to me!" She looked at my uncle, Winston Greene, her father, while saying this. He remained silent. He looked back at me with piercing brown eyes and said, quietly, "If there's anything you would like to know about him, or your mother, please ask me. I was once a good friend of his, and of Lydia's." I didn't even flinch when he mentioned my mother's name.

Delilah looked at both of us with fleeting curiosity, then continued with pleading her case to her dad. "The party is tomorrow and Mom's making me go to another one of those galas!"

Just then, my aunt Elise walked through the door, carrying about six or seven grocery bags on her arms. Sometimes I wondered if she was superhuman. "Honey, they need to know that we are a normal family, not like my brother."

"Well then why isn't Amanda going?"

She should've known the answer to this.

"Delilah, you most certainly know why." Elise answered, while placing the bags on the counter.

"Oh yeah, that's right. She has her freak therapy sessions."

"Delilah..." My uncle began to say, knowing what I've been through recently. But apparently, the death of my mother and a drastic change in lifestyle didn't permit me to be angry once in a while. So they enrolled me in anger therapy sessions, so I could talk about my problems in a "safe environment."

But seriously, I think Delilah should be the one in therapy. She has a major bitch complex.

With the door still open, my aunt said, in a commanding tone, "Girls! The trunk's still open and full of groceries! Get a move on!"

We proceeded to go to the car to grab groceries.

After we were done with unloading the groceries, I saw Uncle Winston at the couch, watching Fox News. What else?

The show was with that man with a chalkboard, Glenn Beck I think. He was talking about the recent news of the whole brain transplant fiasco at the domestic side of Stark Industries, and about the man at the heart of it all, Robert Stark. Then he proceeded to complain about the big gala being held to celebrate Brandon Stark's new status as the new CEO of this branch of Stark Industries. He was talking about the big money they're spending in this awful economy, and how Robert's brother, Tony Stark, hasn't exactly been much better. He then started talking about the absence of their sister...

"Honey, will you shut that off please?" Aunt Elise asked. She was always a little... fidgety when they mentioned her in the news.

"Oh great, so Brandon's gonna be there? Great."

"Well no shit. It is in his honor."

She sighed. "Whatever, Amanda. At least Uncle Tony'll be there. He's always awesome to talk to."

Not like they've been doing much talking.

I guess one could see why my aunt Elise dropped out of the spotlight. She just wanted a normal life. And what's weird is, I'm starting to think Delilah wants one too. Or maybe she doesn't want to be outshined by any other family member.

The phone rang with the jingle "Blackbirds" by Linkin Park. Oh wait. That's my phone, still suspiciously in my aunt's purse. She took it away as punishment, but I wonder if she looked through it.

Unfortunately, the ringtone signified who was calling.

My archnemesis with a special place in my heart.

Eric Banes.

I yelled to my aunt, "Elise? Can I please pick that up?"

She glared at me. She took out my cellphone, draped in the colors of both the American and Irish flags. The ringtone, one of my recent additions to my favorite songs list, was still going off. If Eric ever knew what I placed as his ringtone, he would most likely ridicule me endlessly. No doubt payback for all the merciless things I've done to him. But I needed to answer this.

This was the second-to-last day of summer. Summer vacation, anyways. So yeah, I'd be spending my last day of freedom in prison. But Eric said he was going to call me this day regarding an important subject matter.

My aunt then did one of those unspeakable acts of horror that I must actually, you know, speak about.

She answered."

------------

Well, that's an excerpt.

The character narrating is not an OC. She's a character from the fourth season of Heroes (Amanda Strazzula). Spoilers are obviously given. This fanfic will not only center on her, but on others. It's not only gonna be Heroes (it will involve angels, vampires, demigods and more!). So, keep looking out for that (if you wish to).

Here is the link to a companion one shot to Roses and Poetry and this previous fanfic as well called "Lily Echo and the Watchmaker" featuring Sylar and an OC:

Lily Echo and the Watch Maker

And here is the sixth chapter to Roses and Poetry:

Roses and Poetry

So yeah. Those are my stories so far.

-----------------------

I feel so weird, wanting to see movies that normally wouldn't peak my interest. I mean really, a film about the founding of Facebook? Or a film about a king getting over his stammer?

But something about the stories, how they were conveyed through their respective trailers just... spoke to me. It's like, I want to see more movies. I want to open my eyes to movies I would be uninterested in or too scared to see. I feel like I'm missing out. No more cringing at awkward moments. It's time I enjoyed movies and actually tried to pay attention, tried to understand them.

Here are the trailers. Maybe you might see what I saw. Or maybe not... Either way, here they are:

The King's Speech:

The Social Network:

So yeah. I don't know, I just feel like I wanna see those movies.

And here's a song that's totally emo, yet I find a little beautiful:

Cut - Plumb

That is my blog post for the day. If I forget anything, I will be posting more. Then again, I will be posting more regardless.

Beauty Lasts Forever (And Does Not Need Enhancing)

At first glance, one may think this post is about one's inner beauty and the evils of plastic surgery. Well, whoever actually thinks that is actually, well, WRONG.

In about movies and hot guys (and occasional teenage "wisdom" and philosophy), the post is most likely gonna be about the cinema and the evils of boredom. This particular post is actually about one, or rather, three movies. That's right: The Lord of the Rings Trilogy.

I was chatting with my older sister Silver and I told her about my awesome plan for cinematic awesomeness. She told me about how difficult it'd actually be to move a nice new tv across the ocean. At first, I was disheartened. My dream was crushed. But then I realized she was right. And I was saddened even more. But you know what?

This trilogy is one of the best trilogies of all time. I have a tv, and a ps2 for a DVD player. I also have a laptop to watch it on. Why would I need a tv now at this moment? This trilogy would be good no matter what. So I decided I'm only buying the trilogy for now.

In other news, first day of school tomorrow! Since I need to save up too much money for now, cookies and milk for breakfast tomorrow! That's one thing I miss about school (looking on the bright side here!).

For now, good night. I'm tired and I should be asleep by now.

I'll be thinking about LOTR and Red Dead Redemption (that is for another time to discuss).

Saturday, August 28, 2010

The only way...

The only way to enjoy the Extended Version of the Lord of the Rings Trilogy (okay maybe not the only way) is to watch it at the movie theater. But obviously, the trilogy has been out of the theater for a long time.

So instead of only buying the Extended Trilogy (around $55.00 by the way), I decided to make my own little theater for myself. I'm going to get a new tv (with a built-in dvd player hopefully), speakers, the whole shebang! I estimate it will cost me around $300. Ouch...

I have been thinking about this movie (trilogy), and I realized, if I had to pick a favorite movie/trilogy, it'd be this one.

Speakers like this, maybe...

A tv like this, except hopefully cheaper...

Well, time to work extra days! Or maybe get cheaper deals on Black Friday. But still, I'm gonna need more money!

In other news, Garg actually set up my ancient 10-year old computer (a computer I dubbed Midnight Erosion)! Yeah. I don't know where some of the games went... :(

Maybe I shouldn't write off a classic right away...

...I should give everything a chance right?

Well I didn't think that for several things, one of them being Star Trek with the guy from Princess Diaries 2.

Oh yeah. Cause he can't act. Star Trek (2009) was SO horrible...

That's my main example for why I shouldn't dismiss things so quickly. But there was still one thing...

It's something I read in English class, a little Shakespearean gem called "The Tempest."

Oh yeah, when I first read this I did NOT like it. Even after watching parts of the cheesy movies I didn't like it. I thought Ariel was stupid (waaay too much like Sparkles the Vampire), Miranda was being too quick ("Hey let's get married after 5 hours of knowing each other!"), how it was taught to us made it seem too pretentious... yeah. They'll never make that into a good movie. Never!

Yeah. That's what I thought.

...

Well... until I saw this:

Oh my fucking jeebus. Holy shit. Does this look totally awesome or what? I mean, I admit, I've been following this movie for a little bit... but DAMN! I didn't know it could show this much potential! Helen Mirren as Prospera (usually Prospero) makes it better... and Ariel (the guy on the top of the poster)... he just looks so AWESOME!!!! I definitely want to see this movie. Hopefully it doesn't let me down...

Here's another picture:

Awesome.

So yeah. I shouldn't be dismissing things so quickly... Can't wait to see this!

UPDATE

Okay I didn't hate The Tempest that much, just in English class. It's just didn't think it could be or at least look like it had the potential to be awesome.

I've been thinking...

Okay no I haven't. Really. I haven't. I haven't really been that active in the brain that much these days. I guess I should tell what's been going on or rather what I've been doing.

First off, we went to an awesome water park and zoo last week. That was extremely fun. We actually fed deer at the zoo and we were really close to giraffes and bears and goats (we fed them too) and other animals. At the water park, there were four water slides, an extremely long 'lazy river', a water playground for the younger ones, and an indoor pool. I mostly went on the awesome water slides. Silver, Tally, and I played a strenuous game of tag in the lazy river. By ways not technically allowed (we got out of the lazy river), Tally and I made Silver lose (heh heh). So yeah...

(from lolbat.com)

...AWESOME!

AAAAAaaaanyways... back to more stuff!

I've been playing video games, watching movies and tv shows (by ways other than tv), going online, and, surprisngly, reading. The video game I'm currently been working on is this one:

I absolutely love this game. I played the first one before this (obviously).

Some of the movies I watched are:

Porco Rosso

Surprisingly, I actually thoroughly enjoyed this movie. A perfect blend of action, adventure, romance, suspense, and humor, this movie will be enjoyed by most. Some will just see it as a dumb movie about a flying pig. That's okay, I almost saw it as that too (hey it has great voice acting by a former batman and a friend of Inigo Montoya... and the wife of Brad Paisley). And those who love aviation and planes and such, they will love this movie too. Pretty much everyone will; it's directed by Hayao Miyazaki.

Done with the rambling, moving on to the next one...

How to Train Your Dragon

Most movies I enjoy. However, there are some scenes I usually look away, I can't stand "embarassing" scenes. However, this movie I could not keep my eyes off of. I had the immense pleasure (say that like Angelina Jolie or Anne Hathaway in Valentine's Day) of seeing this in theaters, even if this was in a 'dollar theater'. Everything was great. The writing, superb. Even if there were cliches, it felt like they were meant to be there. The voice acting was awesome. I wasn't paying attention to who was playing who, it was just the characters. They made them their own. The effects were amazing (better than Avatar's), the dragons were actually fearsome and adorable at the same time. Even though I didn't pay attention to the actors during the movie, that didn't stop me from looking them up after. Defintely looking forward to more of Jay Baruchel's work...

Toy Story 3

It's Pixar. You really think they'd screw up this one? Hell no. Basically it's this:

Awesomely Emotinally Epicly Amazing Epic.

Nuff said.

Movies I've seen before that I saw again:

Signs

Great movie. Very suspenseful.

Howl's Moving Castle

One of my favorite movies of all time. OF ALL TIME. I love the romance and magic and the Bale (I mean seriously, Howl's voice is SO sexy and he's voiced by none other than Christian Bale, who also has one of the worst voices of all time [Batman anyone?]). It's awesome and deep and complex; it's one of those movies you MUST watch more than once to fully understand.

Okay so those are some of the movies I watched. TV shows I watched (two in number, infinity in awesome):

Dexter

Much different than I expected, the show is morally grey, as is the main man, Dexter Morgan. I thought it'd be more like, say, Batman, where the main character is mostly good. But he's neutral in morals, and he's not mostly good. He kills because he has a hunger, like Sylar from Heroes, except before this hunger could manifest into something even uglier than its present form, he was taught to kill only the criminals who escaped justice. We don't truly know if he truly cares (however, I only watched the second season, so maybe later...). This is a definite must see, although not for the squirmy. It is graphic, so I throw a little caution to those who are used to watered down material...

Firefly

WIN. That's what this is. WIN. It's chock full of it, overflowing, expanding into the universe...of WIN. It's like if you crossed Star Trek with, say, Red Dead Redemption, added geeky goodness, geeky hotness, hotness, awesome, and awesome music, you have this winful tv show. I watched about 8 or 9 episodes, it's that awesome. It's so funny, sad, beautiful, awesome... Just watch it. WATCH IT!

And I got into a new book series:

The Mercedes Thompson series (by Patricia Briggs)

Ah, it gives me hope to know that there is hope for urban fantasy novels. The book pictured is the first one. That's the only one I fully read; I'm currently on the second one, Blood Bound. These series have bloody violence, a kick ass heroine, and AWESOME SUPERNATURAL CREATURES, with some romance sprinkled in all set in the modern United States, a kind of alternate reality. With faes, werewolves, "walkers", vampires, witches, and more, if you're into the whole supernatural modern world done right, read this. It's awesome.

Now here's some movies I'm looking forward to seeing, hopefully:

Tangled

This movie looks pretty fun. I'm glad she's not falling for the conventional prince (instead, a thief); hopefully this isn't chock full of cliches. If they work, then that's okay. If it's anything like Bolt, then no, I don't want to see it. But, if it's anything like How to Train Your Dragon, then yes, I would LOVE to see it.

The Sorcerer's Apprentice

I've been waiting to see this movie for a while. The effects look amazing, Jay Baruchel and Nicholas Cage are in it, and it's a movie about magic and witches and sorcerers. What more could I want? However, it's eclipsed by the next movie...

Inception

I heard this movie was the contender for biggest mindfuck movie of all time. I heard it was absolutely amazing and open to almost any interpretation (aka extremely confusing). So yeah.

Tron Legacy

This is the movie I definitely want to see for my birthday. It only comes out 8 days after my birthday, I can definitely wait. I've been waiting for a long time; but this wait is for real. I can tell they put a lot of time and effort into the effects (they look better than Avatar's effects). The story sounds really intriguing as well.

Sucker Punch

This movie looks AWESOME!!!!!! It's about badass girls kicking ass, or as Zack Snyder puts it, "Alice In Wonderland - With Machine Guns". What else can I say?

Now I know there are more obvious movies that I'm looking forward to (pretty much everything being put out by Marvel Studios in the next few years), but I'm just gonna stop it right there.

This is the end...with a little bonus video (or rather song...):

Julie and Julianne

How your colors show in odd ways.

Instead of bursting fountains of rainbow, you gave birth to several quirky delights.

I learned from you Julie Forth, or rather, Tally Angel, that explosions of light can be found in different ways. Such as a contraption using wiring and a tennis-racket-y frame, zaps the pests known darlingly as bugs. In fact, by Tally's hand, there had been two bugsplosions.

Also, flashes of lightning and booms of thunder with sheets of rain covered
the exterior of the humble abode full of lovely trinkets, art, humility, love, beautiful puppies, and loads of candy. This abode is the home Phlegm Fatale and LawDog. Their puppies will be known as Cheewee and BonBon (variations of their actual names to protect them as the humans are protected as well). LMT (Mamacita) and Silver (Shortie! :p ) were there of course, as was Tally (Twinnie Twin Twin :) ).

Also Phlegmmy said I should mention the fact that there were gummy octopi. GUMMY OCTOPI! Seriously, how awesome is that?

Right now (as I'm typing on my note pad) we are driving through Elsewhere, Texas (it has many names). Oh it's beautiful here. The lake and the river are so beautiful. And I spot a Starbucks and a whole bunch of shops not in the Land of Emeralds and Sapphires. Bigger roads, bigger cars and more places I recognize.

I feel so at home here. So many nice people.

Later in the day...

Now it's late July 5th. The first part of this post was early July 5th. Anyways, Julie Forth's cousin, Julianne the Fifth, showed the day after the celebration of independence could be just as good.

I had a blast meeting Phlegmmy and Law Dog and several others. Their hospitality and tolerance of annoyance amazes me.

Today Phlegmmy had taken us to a lovely, fuckin awesome store full of movies, books, video games, and COMIC BOOKS!

I almost got the Twilight graphic novel, full of beautiful images, stylized so nicely, but Tally and I figured we could find something better. After all, this store had a bunch of comic books.

Tally had chosen for her bounty two comic books. One, a depressing Iron Man comic book detailing the Mandarin's connection to the Iron Man movies and his destruction of the lives of good people (suprisingly in the film industry) who tried desperately to fight back.

Sorry, but there are no pictures of this comic book cover online and I do not feel like getting the picture of the comic book.

The second one was a Birds of Prey comic, (obviously) taking place in Gotham City (it's DC, not Marvel). It was the second in a series of four (Tally didn't ever have the first one). Basically it shows the ruination of the lives of several costumed vigilantes and the death of two. But determination is shown at the end, which is an awful cliffhanger, leaving me wanting more.

Seriously, the Penguin's also in it. Weird...

What I had chosen was not a comic book, but a movie. A used movie that I so love:

Jumper. Seriously, you thought this post would have no mention movies. Well ha! You were wrong.

An updated side note: This was from the director of Mr. and Mrs. Smith and The Bourne Identity? REALLY?

Silver had chosen two items, one she had paid for herself. The first one was a t-shirt, a cute t-shirt that definitely describes most of us here.

The second, the first in a manga series named Gurren Lagann, an incredibly awesome (so far) manga based off of an anime, full of memorable quotes, robots, explosions, and just plain badassery.

My mother had gotten a book from a series by David Weber and Phlegmmy had gotten two cute little toys.

What else had we done over the course of this day and the previous?

Well we ate a lot of good food. We talked a lot, enjoyed real coversation. Definitely conversation that I could get into. I finished my library book:

Now I have to get on with this book:

We watched videos, by this website:

thatguywiththeglasses.com

We watched the Nostalgia Critic reviews of Judge Dredd, Batman and Robin, and Superman IV and we watched the Nostalgia Chick review of Labyrinth.

Awesome.

To top it all off, here are some lovely pictures of doggies.

Cheewee

BonBon

And here are our doggies (also with codenames to match!):

Quinn

Chris

Quinn and Chris togethah!

So all in all, Julie Forth and Julianne the Fifth had introduced me to great people and a great peace of mind. Thank you.

Update

Actually, this night, we did finally see some fountains spraying rainbow and big booms, along with some misfires (LMT's roomate, (codename) Chuckles lit these fireworks that were extremely gargantuan and they totally wrecked the launching pipes they were lit in. They actually spread out on the ground and almost hit us several times). There were so many colors and sounds, I was just so full of bliss to see such a wonderful sight. It puts me in the perfect mood.

UPDATE AGAIN

Sorry I am posting later than expected, but I've been procrastinating again. YAY!

I can't. I won't. And just don't.

I can't believe it. I just can't.

I can't believe that Star Wars Episodes 1, 2, and 3 are bad. I simply won't believe it. I thought it was cool, depressing, and Anakin was fucking sexy. I didn't even think that Jar Jar Binks was even that annoying!

Source: http://gordonandthewhale.com/hayden-christensen-is-vanishing/

Tell me you can't look at that face without falling in love? MMM! Sexy beast.

I also love Jumper. Awesome premise, great effects, and so much potential (can't wait til the sequel). Also, David is hot and Griffin is awesome.

Picture of "David": See above.

Picture of Billy Ell- I mean Griffin:

Source: http://www.comicbookmovie.com/fansites/superheromoviefan/news/?a=14716

I just realized. He's cuter than I remembered ;)

Heroes is a great show. It was just beginning to turn for the better when it was canceled. Oh dear sweet Jesus that happens too often. And not just to shows...

Original Source (of a way bigger version):http://www.theendisnigel.com/john/?p=1256

How could they cancel the show? There's way too many hot guys (and awesome powers) !

Twilight (the books - and perhaps the movies) have true love. And don't say high schoolers can't fall in love. They can.

Source: http://languageisavirus.com/twilight/layouts/twilight/twilight-10.jpg

Seriously though. Edward is not the hottest (ahem, HELLO Emmett and Jasper!).

Oh but seriously, RJ > Bedward infinite times. I think RJ proves that in a short amount of time, people, even young, can find their true love and are willing to die for each other and bring families together, even in tragedy.

Source: http://yohanapangaribuan.wordpress.com/2009/07/26/romeo-and-juliet-william-shakespeare/

Another thing that proves this 'theory' of true love in a short amount of time:

Source: http://superduper.shapesofsweetness.com/2009/01/21/35-terminator-movie-posters/

Seriously. It does.

Anyways, RJ is (one of) my favorite couple(s). Ever since 9th Grade English... Don't say they're not a real couple.

I think I'll always be an English nut. Kind of...

I want to learn more about Egyptian and Greek mythology. Seriously, how awesome would it be just to say "For the love of Helios!" or "For the love of Anubis!" and actually know the references? You'd actually be smart instead of pretending to be and it'd be awesome to know the stories (especially if you're trying to add mythology to your story).

Source: http://monsterscifishow.wordpress.com/2009/11/04/percy-jackson-and-the-olympians-the-lightning-thief-trailer-trailer-addict/percy-jackson/

Best modern, mythology incorporating book series (and arguably my most favorite out of (almost) every book series) EVER!

Aaaaaand, back to Twilight.

Oh and by the way, Stephenie Meyer can write. Just not that well in the case of Twilight. But read her short story (Hell on Earth) in Prom Nights From Hell. And besides, she DOES have an English degree (seriously she does). So don't tell me she's an awful writer. Well okay you can, it's your opinion. I have my own opinion. She gets inspiration from the best love stories and her dreams. Kind of sounds like me. Hopefully I won't get as much backlash...

Source: http://thebookbugbooksfortweensandteens.blogspot.com/2009/11/review-prom-nights-from-hell.html

It's a great book. I loved almost all of it (a lot of them ended open ended though... except for one (The Corsage)).

...

Well yeah. More random thoughts from a strange teenager. Yay.

And seriously. Don't. Just don't.

Don't hate the playah, hate the game.
