My Word of This Year and Everything That Came Along With It

So, how do I feel about 2009? Well, for starters, I must say one thing. This is the only year I have felt immediately about the year I was in:

IT SUCKED.

So many good people died. The economy is in the shithole. Barack Obama is president. Global Warming stuff is still going through. Chris Brown beat Rihanna and things are getting overhyped.

So, without further adieu, my word of the year and the song of the year (that described it).

RIP

and

"Death is the Road to Awe" by Clint Mansell from The Fountain OST

So RIP is a phrase. Who gives a shit. This was the worst year. And I know things have just been getting started. First, I must list just some of the celebrity deaths this year:

RIP Jett Travolta April 13, 1992 - January 2, 2009

RIP Natasha Richardson May 11, 1963 - March 18, 2009

RIP Stephen Gately March 17, 1976 - October 10, 2009

RIP Brittany Murphy November 10, 1977 - December 20, 2009

UPDATE: RIP James "The Rev" Owen Sullivan February 10, 1981 - December 29, 2009

I found the "theme song" of 2009 from this Brittany Murphy tribute video:

Here's the full song:

2009 Celebrity Deaths Tribute Video:

So, going along with the word of this year, I must state the deaths of each year that made me sad... Well the saddest...Or just in shock...

2007 - Anna Nicole Smith was the big one... There was also Angelina Jolie's mother, Marcheline Bertrand. Luciano Pavirotti made me sad.

2008 - There were more than 2007. There was Yves Saint Laurent, a pioneer in fashion. I really did love his work. There was Bernie Mac, resident funnyman, and great actor. There was Isaac Hayes, chef of South Park. Roy Scheider, of Jaws. Paul Newman... :( LeRoi Moore, of the Dave Matthews Band... And then, at the beginning of the year, was Heath Ledger. Too young...

2009 - So the deaths I listed above... Out of those it was pretty much all of them. Well, some I cared less than others (sorry), but out of those, six made me really sad. Ok maybe more.

Natasha, David, Jett, Michael, Adam, Patrick, Billy, but most of all, Brittany...

Rest in Peace.

Thank God this year is almost over...

Oh, and just so you know, "Death is the Road to Awe" is my new theme song.

UPDATE: I forgot some that made me sad (which makes me a terrible person I KNOW), namely The frontman of Quiet Riot (hello reunion tour!) and Eartha Kitt, possibly the best Catwoman and a great voice actress (and of course regular actress).

Sem Jinks #?5? - A New Favorite Movie Has Come to Me

I saw 2012. It was beautiful, fantastic, exciting, and visually stunning. I hadn't seen such that much of an eye feast since Speed Racer (THAT was awesome). This was movie that kept me wondering what was to happen next, and few 2-and-a-half-hour-long movies are able to pull that off. But, that wasn't the only thing 2012 shared with The Dark Knight. It also shared one of its messages (hope) and two of its actors: The Russian Ballerina with Bruce Wayne is Tamara and Lao (I think thats how you spell his name) is the brother of the young Tibetan monk. One actor that shocked me, however, is a character I liked so much. This man portrayed Adrian Helmsley, a scientist whom I rooted for since the beginning. What I was shocked to find out was that in a different movie, he portrayed the villain, whom I seriously despised: Victor Sweet from Four Brothers. He SPOILER ALERT brought on the demise of my favorite character from that movie, sweet Jackie Mercer (ahem, Garrett Hedlund). But now I don't hate the actor (I still dislike you Jason Isaacs) now. I haven't felt so much emotion from a Roland Emmereich movie since The Patriot (again, I say, I despise you Jason Isaacs). This movie didn't deserve only around 30%. This movie was worldly. What I mean by that is, it doesn't stay in one place. I was really happy about that. It felt real, the actors I applauded and the actor who portrayed the "villain" made me hate him so and when an actor does that, then you know he's done his job. But, these characters, I feel some have more than one layer. Nothing felt fake, and I just love this movie. I have to also applaud Danny Glover as the President of the USA (MURTAGH - NOT from Eragon, that's Jackie Mercer), WOODY HARRELSON as the crazy guy who knew what was coming - Charlie. Now I was surprised to find out that was actually Tallahassee from Zombieland. Well, I'l put up a more organized movie review later. But my general consensus is YOU MUST WATCH THIS MOVIE!!!!

Movies. More movies.

There are many movies I want to see(I'm reposting some trailers). Here's just to name a few:

Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief

Clash of the Titans (2010)

Avatar

2012

Tron Legacy

*Note - in all actuality, Tron Legacy is coming out in late 2010. So you can sigh with relief now (December 17, 2010). Still too long, though, if you ask me.

The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus

Armored

Iron Man 2

(Fan-Made)

xXx: The Return of Xander Cage

Untitled Chronicles of Riddick Sequel

Untitled Fast and Furious Sequel

Untitled The Dark Knight Sequel

Captain America

Thor

The Avengers

Sin City 2

Sin City 3

Machete

This is the fake poster, for this was originally a fake movie. And also, keep in mind this is the same Machete Cortez character from Spy Kids, for they have the same director.

Machete Cortez

Alice In Wonderland

Jumper 2

Wanted 2

Salt

What's weird about this one is that Tom Cruise was originally supposed to play this role...

The Losers

The Losers (2010)

Hancock 2

I will probably add more later. And...just for fun... here's a video, a New Moon spoof kind of from Conan O'Brien...

And here's the song I was listening to:

Twilight Makes Me Ill

I really think it does. I read an article saying that it might beat The Dark Knight in box office. I felt terribly ill, like I'm gonna throw up. That's how much I hate Twilight. I'm literally about to throw up. Either that, or it's the Chocolate Blast I had for lunch.

What shall be the remedy for this? Why, cinema of course! I shall watch The Day After Tomorrow.

PS I like Kristen Stewart; I just think she needs to be a kick ass chick like she was in Panic Room. She should be in a Sin City-esque movie.

This is the effing last straw.

I have been angry about many things before. But this? THIS? You have to hear what these twiwhores had to say.

This reminds me of the time of when Alex Jones raped the Joker. He said something bad bout MJ. Okay I'm angry, but I'll let it slide. Then he dresses up as the Joker and bashes the one who practically reinvented this character? Aw HELL no!

So I said buh bye to Alex Jones. I unsubscribed to his channel.

This is what E! Online had done.

When E! Online had first started covering Twilight, I was like yeah whatever. But then there was more and more and more and MORE! They praised the very air that the actors breathed. Anything to do with Twilight, MOSTLY ROBSTEN!!!!, they would report on. I kept putting up with it and putting up with it and even when they bashed the Clash of the Titans trailer, and not liked Buffy as much and report on Team Edward panties and still praised and worshiped and REPEATED OLD NEWS bout Twilight, I didn't budge. I thought they wouldn't say something this FUCKING STUPID! Here is what they said.

Robert Pattinson was talking to Emilie de Raven.

DON'T WORRY THERE WASN'T ANY FLIRTATION GOING ON - AND BESIDES, WE'VE SEEN EMILIE AND K STEW BOTH IN PERSON AND JUST TELLING YOU K STEW IS WAY HOTTER FOLKS.

I am literally shaking with anger. This has been keeping me awake. My breathing is heavy; I'M SO FUCKING PISSED!

Emilie de Raven is a beautiful blonde Australian actress who was in Lost. LOST IS WAAAAY BETTER THAN FUCKING TWILIGHT!

She is more beautiful and more talented. God, I'm so pissed. Let's hope this shaking dies down.

But, I might still read E! News. It's Twilight I'm more pissed at. Or is it?

Well I can't decide I'm so tired. Now that I got that (partly) out of my system, I'm gonna go to sleep now.

And what am I gonna do tomorrow?

I'm gonna tell my Twihater friends about this. Let's see what they'll say.

Smeyer YOU SUCK!

PS Please I must apologize (kind of) for the crude language and the sticky caps lock.

Word of the Day

A word that has been going through my mind and is such a beautiful word:

Patriot

Friday, November 13, 2009

I've been thinking...

Before the Big Bang, was there another universe? With other people? Maybe some holes in time or space lead to that previous universe... Did it have different laws? Did it have gravity? I think time is a sphere, like the universe, and our world. Different times and universes in the sphere. Or, at least time is a circle. It never ends, and it never began in the first place. So yeah. That's my philosophy on time.

Clash of the Titans 2010

YouTube help center | e-mail options | report spam

clichekiller12 has shared a video with you on YouTube:

This. Movie. Looks. So. EPIC!!!!

Watch the trailer!

The perfect song for this trailer, besides the one playing already, is "Serenata Immortale" by Immediate.
Clash of the Titans is directed by French filmmaker Louis Leterrier, of Unleashed, Transporter 2, and The Incredible Hulk previously. The screenplay was originally written by Lawrence Kasdan (Raiders of the Lost Ark) then later revised by Phil Hay and Matt Manfredi (both of Crazy/Beautiful, The Tuxedo, Aeon Flux). This is a remake of Desmond Davis' original 1981 classic movie of the same name. Warner Brothers will be bringing Clash of the Titans to theaters everywhere starting on March 26th, 2010.

Seminar Hi-Jinks #4 (Mondays SUCK!)

Yep. Again I state the obvious. At the very least, however, I had no real homework due today. And I so happen to start with Seminar.

I have Wednesday off - I am trying so hard to get Thursday off (trying to convince my Mom) - and I have Friday off. I think we have a family outing either planned Wednesday or Friday...

I finished some classwork. It was a worksheet for Chemistry. ALL ABOUT ELECTRONS! Stuff like Bohr's atomic model, and the Aufbau principle and orbital diagrams and electron configurations and noble-gas notations. VERY boring.

And now I shall spend the last minutes of my seminar surfing the internet or reading a book I've been WAITING for from the library:

The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown THE SEQUEL to the Da Vinci Code; it's already slated to become a movie!

THAT is already good. I just hope it doesn't follow the patterns of the other ones or I really am gonna be a little angry. I want it to be different...

Talent and Vampires CAN Go Hand in Hand!

Well there are two things I must comment on.

1) I saw This Is It. It was good. The effort put into that concert was phenomenal. MJ's talent was amazing and his humbleness and humor surprised me. Most people before his death thought of him as a freak. But, this movie shows that he was still human. Orianthi (Lead Guitarist) was especially good too. However this movie feels a little rushed. The director (ahem Kenny Ortega) should've taken a little bit more time in the movie. I felt there was a lot of important things missing. And, in the theater, these group of boys would NOT shut up. It would've been at least 5 times better if they would've just shut up.

2) Okay, I thought Twilight was okay, until I saw The Lost Boys again. Those vampires are real vampires. That movie is so amazing. I kept thinking what have vampires been turned into? Sex Toys? Disco Balls? Angsty Romantic All-Too Perfect Stalkers? Well, the stalker should remain intact. But they're supposed to be ferocious monsters yet seductive villains. Maybe they can be good. But, they shouldn't look fake, sparkle, or be all goody goody. If there's a good vampire, the vampire MUST be an antihero! Not a perfect knight in shining armor! Please! I just wish people didn't become twiwhores!

That's it for tonight.

Awesome day tomorrow (today at 1:28 AM).

Still can't tell you about the awesomeness.

It's still a surprise.

Sem-HJ #3

Me am so tired...

I have SO much hw

SO much

Sigh...

And I work today so that makes everything SO MUCH BETTER!

This week we have Friday off (seeing THIS IS IT), however next week is strange...

Monday and Tuesday we have school, Wednesday and Friday we have off.

Wait, shouldn't it be Wednesday through Friday?

Apparently not.

WE HAVE SCHOOL ON THURSDAY!

Do. Not. Want. TO GO!

Oh well...

Monday, November 2, 2009

Yeah...

I'm forgetful. It really is a terrible thing. Maybe I should utilize my lovely little iPod to its full advantage.

My daddy's not gonna be happy bout this when he gets home. Hell, Pearle is pissed (hello this is bout her anyways). SILVER is pissed (yeah she's protective - I think she'd make a good mother).

On the plus side of everything terrible that I've done,

I'M SEEING THIS MOVIE THIS FRIDAY!

And...

We have no school on Friday.

And...

Something better than all of that is happening this Saturday, but...

I can't tell you.

It's a surprise...;p

UPDATE:

Squishy sent me this absolutely amazing video (link to it). I decided I needed this song. It's called Love/Hate Heartbreak by Halestorm and it's a Transformers version.

Exclusive Sneak Peek

Here is what I have so far of Chapter 4 of Roses & Poetry.

Chapter 4
Izzy and the Forks

Isabella Swan POV

I wanted to be like him. My Edward. The key word that I must state is "wanted". Not now. Something came up. Something too important to throw away.

It was after the wedding. Right after the wedding. Edward was mine and I was his. I was ready to throw everything away for him. That was before I came to my senses. That was before I realized there are more important things than just me and my vanity.

My mother had disappeared from the wedding and I hadn't given as to why she had left. I hadn't realized that she left for my safety.

It had been a day after the wedding and Edward and I were about to leave for our honeymoon when my phone started to ring. I at first decided to ignore the rings of my cellphone. But, that phone was persistent. I reached for that annoying phone that I believed I wouldn't need anymore.

"Hello?" I asked for a response in my hello.

"Bella? Bella!"

"Hello? Mom?"

"Bella! Please, you need to help us please!"

"Mom! What happened?" I said in a concerned voice.

"Listen to me! Bella! Listen to me. Your cousin, Rosie, is coming to your house - your new house - and you have to help her. People are following her and they're coming after you too. Just make sure to take care of her. Please!"

"Okay Mom. Calm down, I will. Just can you explain why we're in danger?"

"I'll explain later. I love you, hon. Take care of you and your cousin. Okay?"

"Of course Mom. I love you. Bye."

"Bye."

I couldn't believe it. I guess some things that I thought I wouldn't have to tell my husband I had to tell him. He did not know that I had at least two aunts and maybe one uncle on my mother's side. He also didn't know that I had a cousin.

And there is the sneak preview.

Seminar Hi-Jinks #2 (BLUE!!!)

As usual, nothing really happened, exceot we had a drill of some sort.

I have to work today.

WAH!

I decided to start working on yet another project. A project that means a lot to me. A project called "Dreamscape".

I decided to map out where my dreams took place, because obviously some of them took place in the same places. And I'll talk about the content of my dreams too.

Well, that's it. Better go!

A strange thought while doing my history homework and looking at a picture by Michelangelo

If people were created out of the likeness of God and they were naked
and they weren't supposed to be ashamed, why is God always shown as
being clothed?

An interesting thought to consider.

Seminar Hi-Jinks #1(I WON!)

Every Seminar that I can, I will blog about things that happened to me so far. Since right now Seminar is the first class of the day, not that much has happened, except:

I WON!!!!!

There was this lottery drawing type thing where several people could get prizes if they turned in this anagram worksheet and I won!

What I picked out was a basket (they're all baskets) with chocolate, starbursts, pencils, pens, bunny posters, and Twilight Journals and tin to match!

I was originally going to pick out this one other one with a bunch of posters, but someone else already got it. Another one I was thinking about getting was this basket with dragon stuff, but I already have the Dragononlogy book. So, I picked this basket!

Well, I gotta go and do some homework, so end of Seminar Hi-Jinks #1!

Seminar Goings-On

Seminar consisted of these two things:

1) Trying to find obscure titles (Two of them weren't; the rest of them were [Damia by Anne McCafferey? HUH?])

2) Attempting to work on a powerpoint all about elements:

All I did was spend most of my time primping it up - I should work more on the actual information next time!

Well the bell rang a minute ago; better go!

Chemistry

I'm retaking Chapter 4 Test. Wish me luck!

Learning more about atomic mass...more math in Chemistry (which is the class I'm in now). Will write more later!

A Potential Millionaire in the Slums of India, A Poor Cursed Girl, Several Potheads, A Former President/Goonie, HOMECOMING, and more!

I shall start with Homecoming.

It was awesome! It was at a place called Eagles Landing, a building reserved for special events. It was on base. There were several big rooms, the main one carpeted, then with a wooden floor for the dance floor. It was dark for most of the time and we got some glowsticks. There was an attached room that was lighted where the food was. There was pizza, vegetables, dip, fried chicken, and...

A CHOCOLATE FOUNTAIN

You could take toothpicks and stick them in marshmallows, grapes, strawberries, those sort of things, and dip them in the chocolate. It was so amazing! I barely ate anything, though, for I had a bad stomach and went to the bathroom several times.

Back to the dancefloor. There were several tables on the outskirts of the main room, and they had several packets of German Gummy Bears. They each had those fiberoptic tree like thingies -

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

those

- as the centerpiece for each table.

I danced a lot. It was extremely fun. It was me, Squishy, and a friend I have yet to talk about. I shall call her Gemini (she wants to change her name to that). YAAAAY! They mostly played hip hop songs, but imagine my surprise when they played COBRA STARSHIP ("Good Girls Go Bad") for the last song. I was extremely ecstatic. At the beginning, I had a french braid (JSYK, I got my hair done at Gemmi's house), but took it out when it bounced around a lot. Felt guilty for it though. I kinda wished a guy danced with me... But I did dance with my friends!

At the end of the dance, we were about to leave, we found out that someone had the exact pair of shoes as Squishy's. And we had two pairs... So we went around yelling, "Did anyone lose their shoes?" and "Whose shoes are these?". We eventually just left them on a table and left and we had an awesome time. It took that one dance to let me know I will definitely hit a night club or two in a few times throughout my life. Here are some pictures:

Squishy (LOOKS AMAZING!)

Me

Both of us and an unwanted other (check the bottom right corner)

Just the both of us

Me, Garg, and Squishy

JUMP!

Me, Blondie, Squishy

And I watched a lot of movies. Some I saw before seeing them again, some were the first time. Here they are:

Slumdog Millionaire:

Oh. My. God. This movie was uh-MAZING! Everything was! The acting, the cinematography, the story, EVERYTHING! It was passionate, it was beautiful! I was dying to know what would happen next. What I say: WATCH IT!

I've already watched this and talked about this one:

Penelope:

WATCH IT

Pineapple Express:

Hilarious and Hot (in the form of James Franco! Who knew he could be a pothead?) WATCH IT and it's just amazing ; it's like wtf? That's what this movie is. After I watched it I had several thoughts. One of them was in "The Village", the village "special education" guy (played by Adrien Brody - he's usually badass - not in this role), he seems less..."special" (okay most of the time he seems special), but at least some of the time, he seems on drugs, because he sometimes acted like the guys of Pineapple Express. This movie, you MUST watch it (and watch The Village too).

W. :

This movie is unbiased, so if you want to see George W. Bush in a new light (rather than the terrible one we usually see him in), watch it. It's kinda boring, but enlightening. Btw, Brand from the Goonies plays George W. Bush (Josh Brolin you're totally awesome.)

Wolverine:

I didn't really like this movie because I already knew what was going to happen because of my sister and my two friends. If I didn't know what was going to happen, I guess I would've liked it (this also happened with TDK, Watchmen, AND The Departed) But Sabretooth as Wolverine's brother? GENIUS!

Four Brothers:

The tagline might be a little cheesy, but this movie is AMAZING! I love Garrett Hedlund in this movie (he's the other white guy). He was the best actor, I think, in my opinion. He was cute, and actually talented. The others were good too ("Uh oh! It's the popo! Those white cops are crazy!). This movie is heartfelt, with some humor AND drama, action packed, and with a mystery for you to attempt to solve throughout the movie. WATCH IT!

Parenthood:

I haven't seen this movie in a while, but I watched it this morning. I love Keanu Reeves. But the movie is a great dramedy, and I did not know that adolescent boy was Joaquin Phoenix. Shocking. He had weird hair. But that's not important. It's realistic and beautiful. Watch it (I think several of people I know, maybe a reader of my blog, have already seen it - after all, it's an eighties movie) !

~~~~~~~~~
I wanna see these movies:
The Expendables
Zombieland
Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief
Inglorius Basterds
Tron Legacy (also with Garrett Hedlund... apparently he plays the son of the guy from the first movie or a relative or something, since they both have the same last name... I should probably watch the first Tron movie again...)
New York, I Love You
And
Iron Man 2
I listened to this song while typing this blog post
